Tried the Fiio Q11 a while back. If the sound is anything like that i'm not touching this. All the newer fiio devices (BTR7, BTR5, Q11, KA5) have this weird squashed midrange. Like there is no depth to the sound.

@littlenezt You have said it's not as sterile as dawn pro. I hope above concern about midrange is proven wrong. Does the vocals sound pushed back or elevated?

Wow okay so I am debating between the KA13, the SHIO and JCally AP90 with AK4493SEQ which apparently sounds more like an ESS chip than an AKM.

Why put holes on something you carry everywhere? Lint and dust will get in there real fast.

Any possibility of a comparison to the sound quality of the KA1? I bought one only a few months ago and it sounds great. I usually pair it with the 1More Triple Driver ear buds which make for a very neutral sound. I'm quite happy with the KA1 but this KA13 seems intriguing for the price as it adds a few features that would be nice to have. Not sure it's worth the purchase if it's similar to the KA1 which it seems it might be.
