These headphones are highly underrated. Although, I will say I'm not a fan of the stock tuning. I modified mine quite a bit but even just a thicker earpad will turn this headphone into a bass heavy delight with the widest soundstage I've experienced in a closedback headphone. Which is unusual because it has very little bass with the stock pads. The driver in this headphone is really good, it has a very clean presentation with a wonderful ability to sparkle and shimmer without being fatiguing. It can be easily tuned to suit many different palates.

I used to own VI, X and III. The X was true reference, but never worth the price tag, even though driven with top Dac and amp. The VI were excellent and correctly priced. The III is a bargain and display a warmish/polite yet detailed sound, with a bit of veil and lack in bass. Still, for the price, the built quality is top notch and the sound nothing but amazing as long as the signature matches your tastes. If possible, trying before blind purchase, but these will keep their value.

Ps: top review, we feel you genuinely like them

Ah sorry, X and III have nothing in common in terms of signature. Quite the opposite actually.
