Curious what is the difference between a "mastering engineer" and an "audio engineer"? Seems your findings are completely off tangent to this other person who might be in the same field as you.
@descloud There are many types of audio engineers speciallizing in totally different things... in the music world it is mostly: recording engineer, mixing engineer, mastering engineer, live sound engineer etc etc. Than there are many in the film/TV industry: 'sound recordist', in post production dialogue editor, mixer, etc etc etc etc @robm321 Yawoll Herr, Kommandant! I will never talk to another person in my life again - going away in the woods to become a hermit. @trevinthefionaapplefan yep... as the tonal balance changes so much with placement it is quite useless for reference work (granted this might be a feature for a headphone collector... more than one tonal character in one pair of headphones). Also, working in these is quite impossible because of the cable noise. And yes, two stars: as the title sais: "for the money..."
