Excellent review. Am very much enjoying mine here, both with IEMs and over the ear cans. Beautiful screen! Pretty fast startup time as well. Nice snappy interface too. All I could wish for really is to have Google Play Store integration for more apps that depend on it vs. 3rd party app markets and sideloading APKs. On the other hand, that I can easily switch into a pure mode running just Mango vs the Android OS seems very well executed in the pull down menu.
Thanks for the review! but as a clarification, when you commented on 220MAX, do you mean the 300 has the added benefits or does the 220max sound that way? I was slightly confused.
@jerick70 regarding your question, I think the Hiby DAP definitely has a longer name. Aside from that, having never heard the R6, I can't really say Will let you know if I ever get the chance to hear one though
@Chimmy9278 you may - or may not! - be disappointed to hear that I was saying that the DX220MAX had those benefits. I have revised and expanded that comparison section; hope it will make things more clear!
Thanks again to everyone for all the likes and comments, really appreciated!
@Layman1 LOL. You need to get hold of an R6 2020. Total redesign of the venerable R6 Pro, floor noise is much improved, in fact the entire package is much improved. Well worth the extra quid. But I digress from your awesome review of the DX300.
I'm not a DAP guy as my iPhone delivers all the power I need for Apple AirPod Max cans. My only comment would be looks like a very poorly designed Volume knob AND Placement! If I had that thing I'm sure that I would be ripping that knob off before it reached a month old!
