Really good review. I'm amazed at the spending involved in our hobby to get review merchandise and product to use for our own benefit. I just don't have time but wish I did. I gave up on collecting files, vinyl, CD's and just stream through Tidal and Qobuz. I can't see spending the kind of money required on these DAP's when they don't stream. Are DAP's that much better than from my LG V30 or iPhone 11 through my Dragonfly to my Periodic Audio Carbons? I assume I can't download files to my phone then transfer to the PAW as there would be copyright issues (I don't know, assuming)?

@3Putter Thank you. Yes its not a cheap hobby, but I do enjoy listening to quality music. I can't answer if LG V30 or iPhone 11 is better than a DAP, or specifically this DAP (LP6K) as I don't own either of those products, however I can say that my old AK70mkII sounded a lot better than my Samsung Note 8, and the Lotoo PAW 6000 sounds light years ahead of my AK70mkII ... its not even comparable. Again, i am no expert on this topic, just sharing my views based on my limited experience. Regarding streaming, not sure if what you are asking can be achieved. I personally don't use any streaming services, in fact I owned the AK70mkII for few years and never once used streaming services with that DAP despite it having streaming capability. Just comes down to what you prefer, ones not better than the other.

@EDWGHZ Great review! Funny that - I chanced upon your review while looking for a DAP for my... Polaris 2s. LP6K has stood out during my research as well (this and Sony's WM1A) - alas, just like Oz, the UK gets no Lotoo love. Couple of questions: 1) What is the battery life like? 2) What is its file management like? Easy enough to add / scan music? 3) What is the bass response like? Does it provide oomph when the song demands it?

@OlosAftia thank you. Battery life is just amazing, lasts approx 14-16 hours which is in-line with specs; just depends on volume and other settings such as high / low gain, screen brightness and few others. File management is great, UI is super-fast and very intuitive. Check out the review videos on you tube which show the UI in more detail. The bass and general power of this DAP is amazing, considering its relatively small size. It’s not that much bigger than my old AK70mkII however the power is easily 2x or even 3x more powerful with really impressive bass response. I would set the volume setting of my AK70mkII at 110-120 (of 150), however with the LP6K i struggle to go past 35-40 (of 100), it just gets that loud which again is quite impressive for such a small DAP. What DAP are you currently using?
