Hi, i was on a quest for a new pair of desktop headphones. I went to the shop and i tried the hd660s, hd800, some denon and audeze. I preferred the hd660s above those headphones I mentioned priced at double or triple the price. I did not buy th hd660s even if I enjoyed them because I do not believe they are worthy 420euro. I went home, and i was preferring my humble ath m40x.
Now i still think about the hd660s, thy dont shine where the m40x do (energy and bass response, I also love metal) but they complement them on acoustic songs and on comfort for prolonged work session at the desk.
So, should I take the hd6xx given that I live in Sweden right now? Or the dt880? I would take the 880 if they are as comfortable as the hd660s are.
Is there any difference between the 250ohm version or the 32ohm? I currently do not have a dedicated amp, only an audience id4 and a AK sr25. I think they should be enough to drive he660s but I do not know about the hd6xx or the do 880.

About price Its way different story outside US. HD6xx cost me 280 waiting months and have no warranty in Europe. HD660s cost me 360 new.
HD660 had to respect the audio signature of HD6 line and did that, do they worty the extra money ? In this hobby we all know that some times to get that 10% more u have to pay way way more.. But again its about taste there are way more expensive headphones that i didnt like .
