Sounds like a headphone to raise the bar of entry level audio by a very high margin. Also might be a headphone for me if it is tuned for trebleheads. Sadly it doesn't ship outside of US for the moment.

I am testing an early version of the SE-1 and I agree with your findings. I have been corresponding with the creator Gary Liu and an updated version with more power is on its way to me so I think the minor issues you encountered should have been fixed. I will be posting a review at some point.

I am also testing a review sample of these. I had to fix a manufacturing mistake (swapped L&R) but since doing that I am very impressed with these! Definitely treble-head approved, for sure. I have a feeling these could really shake up their price point for the discerning audiophile!

Got a few questions if you don’t mind fielding them.

Among the Sennheiser lineup, which one would you say sounds the most similar tonality speaking? Judging by your review, it sounds like an HD600 with a narrower soundstage?

As far as connectivity is concerned, can these be used as USB headphones? Connect the USB cable to the computer and listen away? Or is the USB solely for charging?

USB is only for charging can connect only via 3,5mm. These sounds more then HD800 but not with that big soundstage.

Thank you for answering. Follow-up: is the built in mic usable when you connect with the 3.5mm? Or is the mic available only with Bluetooth?
