Great review! How do you find them compared to the ISN Neo 5?

That is truly interesting, as both actually share many tune choices. They parallel each other in how they do treble. Really this question would take a real side-by-side to fully answer. But from memory the main thing is the Hype2 has it’s own Thieaudio sound, which probably comes from how the mids are placed. Where this is totally recognizable once you understand what Thieaudio is doing. So the Neo 5 has more bass, and ever so slightly different mids. :)

Thanks for your answer🤟it makes me curious about thieaudio''s sound.I like the fun and musical tuning of the neo 5 (inoffensive upper mids and highs,my treble sensitive side)

Graph wise it looks pretty similar to EM6L, how is EM6L compared to Hype2?

@Chemistara
The EM6L doesn’t quite get to the authority the Hype2 has, where the EM6L is more preoccupied with a style of separation yet also incredibly smooth. A feeling of identifying individual independent instruments is the EM6L personality and itemization into the stage, is more noticeable, despite the warmness.

The reality is the Hype2 has the Thieaudio sound, and that separates it from most IEMs, becoming instantly distinguishable.......once you get familiar with it and know what to look for. Inside of that there is Hype2 togetherness, a oneness in personality, that becomes unique and special! The EM6L is incredibly proficient, but the overall stature of the Hype2 is simply bigger, generating slightly more involvement. Bass is different too, where the EM6L has more definition, and possibly better pace, yet nowhere as big and meandering as the Hype2 bass?

Yet both take this (overall) smoothness to the extreme, that may be what you’re seeing? Cheers! :)

Hype2 vs Variations? Any thoughts. I really liked subbas with Variations, upper midrange lower treble are was sometimes just a tad too much for my ears. Are hype2 going to be 'smoother' in that area?

@joydivisionnewdawnfades,
Probably or recent the ISN Neo 5, the Hype2, and SHOZY B2? That’s a really hard question, but I kinda answered it.

Yes that's really hard to answer,i'm agree 😁The Neo 5 matches very well with the ifi Go Pod (very smooth and practical for an on-the-go usage).

Can you do a simple comparison between the elixir and these? No time to audition now so was wondering if these are worth blind buying, but I might have to sell my elixir to fund for these

@Leyz,
I totally can......I was going to do comparisons in the review, but due to (the Elixir) having stuff in common yet different.......due to driver methodology, I thought it would confuse folks. This style of writing can be complex, so I'm always looking for a simpler, more direct path...even though I often convolute ideas (myself) due to my writing and thinking style. Coincidentally I just used the Elixir with different cables, as a test. First-off yes, there is stuff in common, but (surprisingly) contrasting from my Elixir review, there is more bass with the Hype2. It's more technical as you would expect for more money. But also there are new technicalities from the added drivers. The additional Hype2 BAs can effortlessly afford a bigger stage and details inside that stage. Yet realize that the Elixir is great for its price point, but the $100.00 extra is extra abilities with the Hype2.

@Leyz,
The Elixir can only offer so much with its single DD, except there will always be a pureness that is hard to argue with. That pureness is there are no metallic tinges, only natural tone. The Hype2 adds a soundstage ability to become wider yet at the expense of some metallic tone....still not much as the (careful) tune here is very well done, and the quality of name brand Sonion BAs adds to that natural ability to thwart any off-tone. Plus strangely this IEM comes off as one, as one driver, more than most manufactured today? And that singleness of tone, that unification of cohesiveness was one of the pluses with the Elixir. But they both are family being they do share a tune, it is just Thieaudo has gone one step further now, as technology has added extra value to what a manufacture like Thieaudio can offer for just 1/3 more money.....now. At least that's how I see it, as I prefer Hybrids over the abilities of single full-range DDs?

Both IEMs parlay a style of smoothness that is the Theiaudio sound, yet the extra drivers inside the Hype2 added an extra dimension of realism, but also a form of forgiveness which the Hype2 contains. Meaning the Elixir has a specific vocal pinna gain which is very carefully executed into a critical stance. Such stance can be altered to provide an almost too intense style of playback with the wrong cable, individual perception of course and subjective, into how it is heard. But the relaxed stance of the midrange and treble obtained with the Hype2 maybe be found slightly more flexible. Cheers!

I am already tired of earphones that have big punchy bass and smooth treble, which is behind or on same level with mid range. They're just boring and not balanced for me.
