My M80 has no problems with bass and I use the Digizoid ZO2 that cranks the bass beyond any amp out there. Granted, it isn;t a basshead phone on its own but its not at all bass shy. They literally vibrate with bass on many electronic tracks. Amazingly they do it without clipping, or bad distortion which i was impressed with. I think it would be interesting to see how a stock M100 does against the M80 with a ZO, the price would be close.
