After long sitting on my hands, I am making forward progress. Money is slipping through my fingers like droplets of water, and in return I have solid objects of hi-fi worth.
Firstly I have made an acquisition that Budget-fi would be proud of: a (heavily) used Technics SL-1200 MK2. It is beyond me why, but the deal was too good to pass up -- $25 dollars for something that typically costs many times more in the market
Secondly, the DIYer's would be proud: I am attempting my first DIY build. Taking it on was amazingly hard, as I was designing from scratch. I think I am beyond crazy.
Finally, speaker-fi would be proud: DIY Fostex FE208E's. Difficult and time-consuming, but the end result should be beyond my imagination.
Oh Head-fi, what a slippery slope! At the bottom can only be bliss of the ignorant kind; but bliss it truly is!
