1000+ Head-Fier
After several accidents, two kids and a helper threatening the integrity of my audio gear I decided to act scientifically and reduce the chances of a catastrophe.
1) Put my gear away from passage areas. My rack is now in a corner protected by a heavy chair, the dining table and a more than heavy bench. Despite all this during a party for my son's birthday two guests used the white, unassuming cabinet as armrest and to leave glasses of wine and food... So I moved to step 2-
2) MAKE IT CLEAR: the strategy of disguise doesn't work! Even if you try like I did to build the most anonymous and unassuming closed cabinet on this planet, this will attract kids and curious friends alike.
So step two was to place official visible signage to keep clumsy hands away from my Precious.
See pictures below.
3) NO EXCEPTIONS! Do not touch means DO NOT TOUCH! An exception today is a time bomb which will explode tomorrow, most likely when you're not around. The less they know about what's in there the safest the content will be.
I hope my experience will help!
