You can buy real gold chain for that much money. I am addicting to audio too and I have some decent gears but $2000 is very very high on price.

You mean certainly "Because it looks good".

I thought, the only purpose for a cable is to lead the signal without interference from the source to the target?

What's the difference between a cheap one with good shielding and this one?

*please* don't let's start the conversation down that road, or it will very quickly go off the rails lol :p
I understand that generally people are pointed to the science threads on here for discussion of such things

Is this a limited model? Intrested in comparison with Heracles

Nope, it will not be a limited edition or limited in production.

Meanwhile... Stay tuned for what the folks at Vision Ears have to say about "Horus"!

I think I'd leave Horus in the Heritage Series. To be in a hall of fame, you need a performance record. Horus doesn't have that. Best-sellers would make more sense for Hall of Fame, and I would just make it a sticker on their product page. In this way you don't detract from people checking out your non Hall of Fame cables.

Also, the pre-order doesn't appear to have the price on the page, might make it hard to decide on whether someone wants to go forward.

I'm still of the opinion that carbon fiber looks completely out of place on the Horus, I'd get some new shells fabricated quickly. The carbon fiber really detracts from the aesthetic unity.

If you click to select which of the configuration options you want, it will then allow you to place it in the cart, then navigate to the cart, at which point it will display a price ($1649 I think, though I might have added in an optional accessory at $50-70).

Note that the options need to be clicked discretely twice, until a tick appears. A bit troublesome.

Agree with pretty much everything you've written.
I'm a huge fan of carbon fibre and think it looks awesome on (for example) my Hunter cable.
But the quality and gold sheen of this cable makes the carbon fibre look slightly gimmicky and cheap here.

I agree here. My first instinct was to look for Horus in the Heritage Series. To me the Heritage Series has always come across as that special selection of cables that go beyond beyond Premium. The Hall of Fame, because of its name, comes across as a repository, especially because several of the cables have been discontinued.

I do get why it was done this way, because cables such as Freyja really needed a place on the website and they did not quite fit with either the Premium or Heritage Series, they were too unique. Horus, however, will be available worldwide and I think would fit perfectly in the Heritage Series, perhaps indeed with a Hall of Fame sticker, so you can find it in both places.

Just my 2 cents.

In the market for a balanced cable.

How well does it pair with the Noble Encore?
How would it compare with the Plusound x8 gold plated silver ?
How about the DHC 8strand symbiote?

Thanks!

Maybe the same guy who has Orpheus HE1 and other audio gear goodies? :p
