So difficult to find any useful information via internet search or manufacture websites anymore.

I just ordered a Sony A307 to use as a digital transport to feed a highend dac in a home system, but I can’t find confirmation on this possibility one way or the other.

Can I use the Sony 306 as a USB out transport to feed my Dac?

If no, what Daps can I use?

Thank you

TD

I found this for the A306 - https://helpguide.sony.net/dmp/1301/v1/en/contents/TP1000731800.html

Under "Various Functions", click "USB-DAC screen in “Music player”". I don't know what DAC you're using, but if it has USB input, I'd guess it might work for you. (Disclaimer: I don't have an A306 or your DAC to test with, so I can't confirm if it will work or not.)

thanks. I think that would use the Daps processing which is not what I want. I want to bypass the sony dac. I have since discovered I cant. so I ordered an Astell and Kern. Thank you for your reply
