Which eartips are you all using with your IEMs and why? Sharing this here will help everyone understand which tips work best with different IEMs and ensure they get the proper experience.

Eartips play a crucial role in the overall sound quality and comfort of your IEMs. They can significantly impact the bass response, treble clarity, and noise isolation. For instance, some people find that foam tips provide better isolation and enhance bass, while silicone tips might offer more clarity in the treble range.

Feel free to share your experiences and preferences. What tips have you tried? Which ones do you keep coming back to? This discussion can help others find the best eartips for their IEMs and enjoy a better listening experience.

Meze ALBA with dunu candy tips

Dunu Candy:
Fit and Comfort: These tips fit really well and stay secure in my ears, making a great seal for blocking out noise.

Sound Enhancement: I noticed a big improvement in the bass; it’s deeper and punchier. They also smooth out the treble, so the highs aren’t harsh.

Usage Experience: These are my go-to for long listening sessions because they’re so comfortable and stay put.

What about you all?

I use either Audiosense S400 or Whizzer ET100 tips on anything that has that "universal custom" shape (think Audiosense T800, DT200, EPZ 530, IvipQ Conch V11, etc). 99% of it just comes down to comfort, those tips are what work best with my ear anatomy. Although in the case of the 530, I found the ET100 doesn't get pressure build up like other tips do with the 530, which is an unvented all BA IEM.

For anything that doesn't use that "universal custom" shape (TRN Orca, KZ Castor, Joyodio Shine, etc), it's either TRN T or Whizzer SS20 tips. I find the IEMs that don't have that UC shape fit better with a shallower insertion, so the T and SS20 work good for that while getting a good seal.

Also all the tips I use are made of really soft and smooth silicone (barring the T Tips which are kinda tacky, but still pretty soft). More firm tips tend to hurt the entrance of my ear canal.

Short nozzle - Spinfits CP100
Long Nozzle - Flat / shallow depth tips maybe like similar to Whizzer SS tips
Need more bass and/or tame treble - Narrow bore ex. Final audio tips (doesn’t always work)
Need to open up the stage - Wide bore - Moondrop springtips / JVC Spiral dots / Divinuis Velvet / many more
Specialist tips are also out there - Radius deep, CP155, that one Penon tip I can’t remember the name, Sony hybrids, or that one with the foam inside the silicon like Zeos. Can all help to get a better more comfortable seal thus giving better sound quality’s.

I get the 72 pack on eBay since they're the same size the 7hz Salnotes Zero 2 uses but in black and white instead of the weird colors they have.

For the IEMs with limited sound stage I use Dunu S&S tips. They're a little longer and don't fit in some charging cases. Also mids take a hit in exchange for soundstage with the longer barrel, but equalizing up 600hz by 2db fixes it nicely. On the Seeaudio Yume II it's fantastic for gaming since those have a wide and deep soundstage already, close to open back headphones.

Ear anatomy influences ear tip choice tremendously, so there won't be a one size fits all eartip unfortunately.

Spiral dots are the best tips for me.
Wide bore (Large Stage) and amazing isolation.
Extremely comfortable as well.
This doesn't fit perfectly with all IEMs. I can't use it with many of my IEMs because it keeps coming off.

Which IEM are you using it with right now?

So I got these divinuis wide bore the other day, by my estimate about 4mm (should fit all sizes as big as 6mm+) these could be a better choice. What type of nozzle you got on that IEM?

I also received the Velvet Wide Bore tips yesterday, and I noticed that many IEMs don't have an edge on the nozzle to hold the tips securely. As a result, the tips keep coming off frequently.

Like moondrop dusk, tanchjim kara and many more

I owned the Kara, I don’t remember having any issues with that one for me. Can’t say much about the others you’ve mentioned. EJ07m HBB metal shell variant might be similar but I haven’t had issues with it and this acrylic Mojito2(some sort of craziness of an IEM tuning ever) I own has that problem.
Nanna2’s I listen to a bunch might have had this issue once , but I think I solved it by hallowing out the core of a 5+mm Foam and fitting and trimming that to a FS18 Fiio tip. I can’t say what this actually does…and why it works…it just does in this case.

There are Azla tips that are sticky, tips with stockier cores that could provide additional stability also spring tips are pretty versatile, you might wanna try them. Tangzu Sancai tips also now are made with wide bore.

I have a box of Sennheiser Lamella double flange wide bore that are bigger version of Hifiman double flange that can be interesting.

Also try the stock tips as these are intended(mostly) to work for said IEM. (I never do😎)

Worse one I’ve had was the Phantom 8…one of the best bass I’ve heard in an IEM with CP100…, but for the tip to get stuck in the ear all the time is not good.😳 possibly some ear pressure related issues as well. They did update that model for metal tip recently, “Hey BGVP wanna hook me up?!” PM me 😃👍

Also tips will stretch in time so what works once may not work down the road…
