Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

Oddly, that just LOOKS like it sounds good…
Frankie seems to have an affinity for Schiit gear (or vice-versa). I remember first hearing this tube in Lyr 3, and it wowed me. Did the same in Vali 2, and now Vali 3. Not that it's perfect, but it's quite nice for what was once a very inexpensive tube.

Doesn’t the cardboard box help the flavour, though? 😇 And oddly, there was a well-respected wine writer who recommended a box wine several years ago. I can’t recall their name, and since they haven’t been heard from since, well, you understand, I’m sure…
It would except for that stupid plastic liner they put in there. Seems like somebody could invent waterproof cardboard, for crying out loud.... 🤣

Judging by your reflection in the tube we may sport similar mustaches. 🥸🥸😁😁

I have some of those tubes somewhere, I really should organize my tube collection one day, maybe get them all in one room. 😏
Lol! I'm surprised you can see all the gray through all that silver. 🤣

In photography I was taught to look for such reflections and that chrome topped tube does well.😁

I probably sent you a pic of me with a Russian card partner. She is still wicked smart but both of us travel less now and the prize money did not always cover expenses.

Listening with the 5 star red labeled GE 5670.
Larry Carlton, On Solid Ground CD, The Waffer.

This is an excellent tube. Will contrast with the other derivatives later.
Jut want to enjoy the music and its really nice.

I like the five star just a smidge better than the military 5670. I believe I will listen a bit myself till I visit a neighbor to set up his AV system. The man loaned me a warehouse when I ran my own business so I am forever beholden.

Sold off my 12k vinyl/CD collection, and have maybe 50 CD's not available on stream left. Big fan of the freedom of streaming.
I sold all my vinyl to a shop on Magazine St. in New Orleans back in 2001. The owner's eyes lit up and he said "You've stocked my store for a year." Decided on digital only, tried different dacs and eq to improve the sound. Streaming is now +1 on my systems even though I have over 10K digital albums. Freedom of streaming is an understatement.

My wife and I just tried the last batch of smoked salmon you sent and it was amazing!! Call on me if I can be of any help in the future.😉 I might even send a tube rack like the one I am not building for @bcowen.😂

Its really excellent with the HE1000 SE cans...nothing is missing.
Light saber clean, clear, excellent soundstage...

FYI,,,

According to Schiit the knobs are NOT glued on. Vali 3.
I sent them a note about the ones that are really hard to remove...
Will post the reply.
Alex
Mine pulled off without any trouble. It was good and snug on there, but not what I'd call tight. Perhaps some tolerance variances in the knob's internal bushing or the shaft of the pot itself making some harder than others?
