That is exactly what im getting. And yes 0.6 on same panel and touching panels. And 0.6 when leads touching each other. Either 0.6 or sometimes 0.4 for all the values.

Okay, if you are getting 0.6ohms for two leads on one panel and the same value with the leads on two different panels (with continuity checked between all of them), then you should be in the clear. That would suggest that the chassis is not anodized.

@smodtactical , as @AnyDave alluded to, building tube amps is not without risk, there are high voltages involved, you need to be careful. Please take time to familiarize yourself with electrical safety techniques and how to use your multimeter. Read the entire directions carefully, especially the safety warnings.

And maybe invest in a multimeter that doesn't read 0.6 ohms when the leads are shorted...

There is going to be some resistance due to the wire in the leads. That's unavoidable. 0.6 ohms seems a bit high, but it depends on the gauge of the wire in the leads and how long they are.

Will do. I have made a bottlehead crack and moreplay so I have at least some experience.

My beautiful Aegis has taken the 240 mile trip and is now in her? new home to join the family! Thank you toonartist, the amp is a credit to your skills, and of course LordGwynns! Going to listen later…am still just looking 😀.

It feels so funny seeing it somewhere other than my office

So glad you like it and look forward to hear your thoughts on the Aegis sound. Those RCA Red Base 5691s go really well with the colour scheme 😀👍🏻

Makes the Envy look small😳

Edit... just no fiddling with the anode cables when it's on! Any adjustments should only be done when it's off as a shock from that would certainly spoil a listening session 🤪

The last shot of the two amps together before I took it on a trip this morning… plus one of the seldom seen back 😀

I so wanted to add @L0rdGwyn name to it to acknowledge the amp design… none of us would be here talking about it if it hadn’t been for his vision 🙏

Hmmmmm 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔….If British Gas were here now, I would tell them it’s great fun putting your tongue on them 🤣.
I always remember my dad saying that about the 9v battery... made me jump as a young kid 🤣

I used to work with a guy who could roughly guess the voltage left in a 9V by putting it on his tongue. He was an odd fellow. Probably spent too much time putting batteries on his tongue.
