Build and Comfort

The rosetechnics quietsea are built from CNC and transparent resin. The design is quite futuristic imo. The lightweight of quietsea contributes to comfortable use and for long listening sessions.

The Quietsea is a V shape tuning which emphasizes the bass and treble but the subbass is quite shy to my liking. The quality of midbass is the star of the show here, showing well textured bass to satisfy ones ears. As for the treble it has enough sparkle to add enjoyment to the presentation.


Bass


This is main aspect of quietsea, it has rich and well textured yet non-intrusive bass. The bass is punchy and impactful but a little subdued in the subbass. When I'm listening to some of my fav EDM songs its not bad though even the subbass is quite shy but it shows when called. The satisfying slam of midbass will wanting you more without overshadowing the midrange.


Mids


The mids is quite recessed to my ears, the vocals is clear and transparent but take the backseat to makes space for bass and treble.
The instruments presents clean, clear and natural in the mix.
As for uppermids, it has enough energy to become engaging enough to enjoy the presentation.

Treble


As for highs, it provides balanced and precise treble performance which have equal quality of lows. It shows enough level of sparkle, air and extension. It also presents energetic highs without the sign of sibilance or harshness. Surprisingly it picks nuances and micro-details contributes to musicality of quietsea.


Technicalities


The soundstage is wide with good height and depth it is enough for its price point. There is great level of imaging and separation you can easily pinpoint where is the instruments is placed in the mix. The nuances produced by quietsea adds a resonate feeling and immersive presentation.





With Rosetechnics Blue Rose Pro Cable 4.4mm
The cable included in the quietsea is definitely enough imho. With its good build and design. It reminds me the one high quality cable I previously owned from NiceHCK the Greyflag which I think they have similar qualities and performance.
When I paired this blue rose pro with the quietsea it surprised me how really good this IEM are.
I ask them what the cable made of :
They use a blend of monocrystalline copper and monocrystalline silver with a purity of 5-6N.
The solder they use costs 1000 RMB per meter and is the same used by Swiss Radio and Television for their monitor speakers. The precise craftsmanship and expensive materials are key to the excellent sound quality.
It's not just about the quality of our materials; we are completely genuine in using real materials.
Rosetechnics really assures you they provide the best sound quality you need.




The drastically changes in sound is very noticeable. When I'm listening to my fav edm and pop everything is crisper and livelier. The bass is punchier and tactile. The mids of my goodness in my ear it become W shape tuning without overshadowing the mids with bass and treble. The vocals shows airier in characterics . The treble is snappier and more energetic. The soundstage become wide and spacious. The noticeable improvement in detail retrieval contributes to more immersive experience. (5/5 star)

Conclusion
The quietsea is an underrated iem that proves its worth with its performance and inclusions. With some cable rolling it will show its true potential. It really pair perfectly with blue rose pro I'll definitely recommend this cable as of now this is my best cable I've been using. Highly recommended!

Xuan NV is a warm neutral tuning showing full and clean bass response and thick and lush midrange suits for vocal lovers out there. I'm currently using tangzu sancai widebore I prefer the improvement of vocals here. I also tried my aftermarket cable IvipQ SPC Graphene midrange cable suprisingly its the perfect synergy with the Xuan NV. It brings out the emotions of vocals hidden with this gems.


Bass


The bass is its forte, showing clean and full sounding yet non-intrusive bass. There's no predominant bass character midbass nor subbass showing equal quality and quantity. Sometimes it lacking of texture but then again overall bass quality is superb for the asking price.


Mids


Another spotlight of Xuan NV, the buttery smoothness of midrange. It shows enveloping relaxed and warm tone vocals. Both male and female exhibits thick, lush and excellent quality vocals here. Despite of the uppermids never become shouty it has enough energy to sound engaging and enjoyable. The natural timbre adds satisfying to overall performance of the midrange.


Treble


The treble is smooth and inoffensive showing not a hint of harshness in this frequencies. Despite the safe of the treble it is energetic enough to become not to sound boring. One more thing is to take note it is a warm tuning gear picking up micro details is superb imho.


Technicalities


The soundstage is average in this price point but if you give it ample amount of juice to drive this xuan nv it shows its true colors. I found my best pair with Kiwiears Allegro. It has enough to power the xuan nv. Improving the dynamics as well as imaging and layering.




Conclusion

This is the best tuned HBB I've tried so far. From clean and full bass response, velvety smooth midrange to inoffensive highs it is different to the usual tuning of HBB collab but their fans will surely love this tuning. It is quite hard to drive and I recommend to prepare a decent source to run this thing, it will shows the emotion of the vocals. At this price point I can simply say this is a step up for those pips who want an upgrade to their budget-fi category.

Its been a while since the market crowded with incredible chifi gears and I found this brand Rosetechnics an underrated brand that needs recognition to the chifi world. I'm totally impressed with their product called Star City 5 Pro is a hybrid 1 DD + 2 BA configuration. I've used 200$+ iems and I need to tell this it is similar tuning to some midfi iems I'd heard to this price point. Let see how good this SC5P sings on its price bracket.

The SC5P is a balanced set in my liking. I'm totally impressed how it present the sound, its ethereal to envelope you to the music where you will hear in 200$+ IEMs. This is where it excel with other competitors in its price brackets.


Bass


The bass is quite neutral to my liking. Where is midbass is more prominent than subbass. It has well- textured and good depth bass without comprising the smoothness of midrange. But using the right tips will make this bass more body and deeper slam. (Currently using Penon Lacquer Orange. It stays forever with my SC5P. The tips I found the best synergy)
Mids


The mids is clear and clean presents more balanced than neutral, it have decent weight and timbre, vocals is airy and placed perfectly in the stage. The uppermids is never become peaky it has enough energy to satisfy one's ears. The openness of midrange helps both male and female vocals easily pinpoint in the mix.
Treble


The treble is finely tuned, offering a balanced sound signature. It is smooth and well-controlled, avoiding harshness or sibilance. Trebleheads will not impressed might want more sparkle and extension. The nuances are rendered with precision, it is safe overall allowing you to enjoy the presentation.


Technicalities


This is where it excels the SC5P the soundstage is open and spacious with good sense amount of width and height and depth as well. Imaging performance is above average with its price point. Separation is quite good too. You can easily distinguish the placements of instruments within the mix.





Conclusion

Star city 5 pro is supposedly underrated iem. It provides above average audio quality at a budget-friendly price. The balance between musical and analytical is really hard to beat at this price range and this is definitely an upgrade to your budget-fi iems without breaking the bank.

This TSMR - X immersed me to sonic bliss for almost 2 weeks now. This is the first time I audition a 400$+ IEM it is different from the budget-fi experience I can simply say this TSMR - X is one that I want to keep as reference IEM. This iems spend 7 days with me before taking details of this review

The TSMR X is a Balanced set in my taste. With Deep, full, visceral, well textured bass (Reference grade), nicely smooth and tranparent midrange, great treble response without the sign of fatiguing. I'm really enjoying this set.

To take note

I haven't touch the tuning switches. The tuning 020 is enough for me to evaluate this gear.






PENON Lacquer Orange

This is my favorite tips as of now. It adds bass and warmth to my gears without compromising the clarity.

It adds treble energy ,clearer vocals and great resolution without reducing the bass quality.



Bass


The bass is the specialty of TSMR X. It shows clean, full and realistic bass response with enough impact. It's satisfying rumbles makes me wanting more when I'm listening to some EDM music it got my taste in every impact it leaves a trail in the presentation. I never heard an IEM as good as this. This is definitely a reference grade.


Mids


The mids is smooth, airy and transparent, the male vocals sounded a little lacking in texture. I prefer female vocals here it does sound fuller and richer compared to male vocals. The midrange instruments are lush , clear and detailed the strums of guitar is tastefully done. The realistic timbre of instruments here is addicting imo.


Treble


It is exceptionally refined In a sense it has enough sparkle, air and extension without sounding harsh or sibilant. One more thing impressed me is the treble good note weight it provides enough energy and shimmer to the presentation to become engaging enough to enjoy the music.


Technicalities


The soundstage, layering and separation I can't flaws here tbh. It is exceptionally good to portrait the music. Soundstage is wide and spacious. Layering and separation is good you can easily pinpoint where the instruments is placed in the stage without feel congested itt makes a clear picture of the presentation.





Conclusion


This TSMR X gives me chills everytime I play my entire music library it is definitely an all rounder. Its realistic timbre across the presentation is one thing to take note it gives you pure bliss you didn't noticed the time 5 hrs had passed because how good it is. If I have the chance to purchase one I will do it without hesitation. This is a Must Buy.

KZ ZSN Pro X was my first IEM this gives me chills because of great clarity and separation of instruments. But I experienced frequent peaks and sibilance. Important notes :


The standard tuning is UUUU switch. I found my sweet spot with UUDD switch. It's gives enough rumbles in the subbass and greatly increases mids capabilities.

It is also easy to drive. Plug and go with your smartphones.


Bass


Bass is clean and well placed in the mix where midbass is more prominent than subbass. I'm impressed there is no midbass bleed here it also helps maintaining a clear quality from the mid bass all the way to lower mids thus not overlapping each other.


Mids


The mids is open and airy. It gives space to vocals to pinpoint in the mix. The lower mids have thin texture presentation. The upper mids where the female vocals can be more energetic causes shoutiness can be fatiguing sometimes. Lower down the volume to control the peaks.


Treble


This is where well refined what I mean is. Treble is well tuned this time making less to no peaks (safe volume) you can still experience this in some tracks so be careful to turning up the volume. It is have enough sparkle and resolving capabilities to keep the enjoyment on pace. For being bright tuning expect metallic timbre on this but it is smooth trust me and trust your ears.


Technicalities


I'm also impressed with its technicalities. It is technically competent this time in its price bracket. Having wide soundstage and resolution on this is superb.
Imaging and separation pretty well implemented you can easily pinpoint instruments in the mix.





Conclusion


The KZ ZS10 Pro 2 is really something, we can say worth considering this time. It's a huge jump in performance in ZS series. It is commendable option in budget bracket. From clean bass response, open and airy mids, less peaky uppermids and good technicalities it is improved a lot from the previous ZS series.

Pairing


With Letshuoer D13

The bass where it excels it is clean and impactful. The midrange instruments sounds natural. Surprisingly the treble is sparkly. It create wide soundstage, imaging and layering improved a bit. The musicality of D13 improved a lot.


With QKZ x HBB Hades

The overall sound quality is more correct to my ears. The bass is impactful and controlled it shows less midbass bleed but still there. Midrange is more forward to my liking. It balances the frequency from end to end of the presentation.
I found the treble produces more air in my experience. This combo is really good. The musicality of the allegro gives the hades enjoyable and engaging presentation.


With EPZ Q1 Pro

The bass is tight and punchy. Midrange instruments is quite recessed. The vocals is thicker and have more air. Male vocals perform better than female vocals. Treble become lively and engaging. Sound stage is wide and open. Layering and resolution improved a lot.


With Letshuoer DZ4

It has clean and more coherent bass. Giving ample power this DZ4 the subbass rumbles deep. Mids is more forward in the mix. Vocals is thick and organic when I listened to some acoustic tracks there is noticeable sweet and lushness of vocals. Technicalities such as soundstage improved a bit.






Conclusion


KiwiEars Allegro is a small and well-built DAC/AMP. That sounds neutral and nearly transparent. The soundstage is above average for the price. It is highly musical dongle makes your gears engaging and enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Burn-in this IEM really matters. After some time it changed a lot.


Bass


Bass is the specialty of this IEM where the midbass more prominent over the subbass. The midbass has good and impactful quality. The sub bass is quite good producing satisfying rumbles while also maintaining a clean quality from the midbass.


Midrange


The mids is quite recessed it is also suffers by midbass bleed and heavily covers vocals and instruments. Lower midrange are natural, smooth, and thick sounding. In the upper midrange it is lack of energy and too safe for my preferences. By giving this more power there is noticeable more forward midrange presentation.
Treble
Treble is tamed, darkish, relaxed and smooth presentation. it is present enough to be heard with just the right amount of detail. I can’t find any sibilance especially even in high volume. It also lack air and sparkle in my preferences. This safe treble tuning contributes for long listening sessions.
Technicalities
The soundstage has right amount of sense of space and width. Imaging is average. The separation is also suffers to the midbass bleed I can't easily pinpoint instrument placements in the presentation. Detail retrieval can be better. If you give ample power to drive this Hades there is noticeable improvement in the overall technicalities
Pairing

with KiwiEars Allegro

If you want more cleaner and safe presentation DC04 Pro take the seat but
If you want more musical and engaging presentation Allegro is the best option.





Conclusion


I really enjoying this set. If you give ample power this Hades. It serves you the right music presentation but you cannot escape the boomy side of it. It a solid choice to add to their collection for those pips seeking more bass, natural timbre, smooth and thick mids.

The bass is clean and impactful. It is way to far from the boring mood of bass the zero have. The midrange where its excels the lushness and sweetness of vocals when I listened to Alisson Krauss if you close your eyes and you didn't know it's Salnotes Zero you'll never believe it's in your ear its different and not the typical zero anymore.


with Simgot EW200


The bass is authoritative and full. EW200 has a bright signature. This iem is prone to harshness. But if you paired it with DC04 PRO. It smoothen the treble. It tamed it a bit. The dynamics is excellent. The sound stage is wide and spacious with good sense amount of width and height. EW200 is one of the most sensitive IEMs but I didn't hear floor noises which is great handling sensitive gears.


with EPZ Q1 Pro


The bass is clean, yet good impact. Midrange instruments have good separation. The vocals is more forward in the mix with touch of naturalness. Treble become lively and energetic. Sound stage is wide and spacious. Imaging and layering improved a bit.


With Letshuoer DZ4


It has tight and well controlled bass. If you give enough power this DZ4 you will feel that visceral feeling in the subbass. Mids is more forward in the mix. Vocals is thick and organic. Technicalities such as soundstage and layering improved a bit.





Conclusion


DC04 Pro is a powerful DAC AMP that can play whatever your set is. It can able to drive every IEM in your sets with ease. I found that it is best paired with neutral-bright to bright sounding set. DC04 Pro has probably the best price to performance-ratio having the independent volume adjustments, driving power, excellent dynamics , good detail retrieval and wide sound stage. This is an easy recommendation for those who want to upgrade from their budget Dongle DAC/AMP.

The unique configuration of this DZ4 is really interesting. I'm really expecting the passive radiator will help the bass to give more punch perhaps I found if you give it enough power the subbass man it will give you that visceral feeling I discover this experience when I'm burnin this DZ4 with the pink noise its not the usual pink noise experience there's an air blowing rumbling inside your ear.


Bass


It has controlled and clean presented bass. The sub-bass shows more body than midbass.
The passive radiator gives that sub-bass visceral feeling. This is not for basshead people out there. The midbass lacks punch and texture. It has good subbass extension and impact.


Mids


The mids are forward, clear and detailed, the male vocal sounded a little lacking in terms of body and texture. Female vocals does sound fuller and richer compared to male vocals. The midrange instruments are lush and engaging, the strums of guitar in acoustic songs is tastefully done, it doesn't get harsh even at high volume.


Treble


The treble is smooth and safe, energetic enough but not excessive to the point where it get harsh. Treble extension is good and but it has lack amount of air. The relaxed presentation of treble contributes to a long listening session.


Technicalities


Soundstage is wide and spacious with good sense amount of width and height and depth as well. Imaging is good as for the asking price. Separation is quite good. You can easily distinguish the placements of instruments.


Comparisons


Vs. Truthear Hexa


Hexa has better bass quality. Mids in hexa is like artificial sounding for me some sort of hifi experience than the more natural presentation of DZ4. Highs is airier and sparkly in Hexa. Technicalities is ahead on hexa but not in the wide soundstage of DZ4.

Bass


It has well controlled and presented bass. The sub-bass is more prominent than midbass. Definitely this is not for basshead people out there. Midbass lacks punch and weight but subbass rumbles deep. It also have a tight and fast bass quality.


Mids


Midrange are a bit recessed and the mild bass bleeds contributes some way to the natural and organic body of male vocals and added warmth to the mids. But still quite linear, which makes the note weight thick. As for instruments, they sound natural and organic. The mids have a relaxed and smooth presentation across the frequency spectrum.


Treble


The highs is not as we wanted airy, but it has great treble extension without being bright. As for the lower part of the treble, it sounds smooth and relaxed. Just a forgiving and musical treble presentation contributes to a non-fatiguing long listening sessions.


Technicalities


Soundstage is above average of the asking price, providing in terms of good depth and tallness.
Imaging and layering is good but nothing special with it. But it feels a bit foggy in background when bass is produce or midrange instrument it give slight blur definition of instruments but the combination of aspects of technicalities of this one is impressive hear it yourself trust your ears.

Bass

The kara is sub-bass focused. The sub-bass has a good impact. There is texture, and decay, creating an engaging yet controlled sense of impact. The mid-bass is less prominent but still have enough to provide some warmth, texture, and punch to the sound. The bass is have smooth and organic presentation. It does not bleed into the midrange.

Midrange

The mids is its forte. As it showcases its warm centric tuning, and its in showcasing its vocals with lush presentation and acoustic instruments, especially guitar. The midrange is smooth and natural sounding with better clarity when paired with right sources. The mids are forward, especially the upper mids which give to the female vocals with more emotions whereas the lower mids are slightly recessed where male vocals are less prominent.

Treble

The treble is relaxed and smooth, with no signs of sibilance or harshness. It has not enough sparkle and air. It is not very energetic or lively, but rather laid-back safe tuning and easy-going. It complements the warm mids and supporting the strong sub-bass, creating a empirical and musical sound.


Technicalities


The imaging is good, with a clear and accurate placement of instruments and vocals within the soundstage.
The soundstage is not very wide or spacious, but rather average in its price point.The depth and height are decent, but not exceptional. The separation and layering of instruments are also good, but does not have special about. It does not have a holographic or immersive sound, but rather decent one.

Letshuoer (antecedent Shuoer) is a brand based out of China that is great in producing innovative In-Ear monitor. The Letshuoer D13 is their IEM which packs in a 13mm DLC (diamond-like carbon) diaphragm, a High-performance Neodymium N52 and two interchangeable tuning nozzles. The Letshuoer D13 pleasantly surprised me with its performance especially considering its budget friendly price.

Bass


Bass is the greatest aspect of this IEM where the sub bass has more prominent over the mid bass making some great rumbles in the low end. The sub bass makes dig deeper producing great satisfying rumbles while also maintaining a clear quality from the mid bass thus not overlapping each other. The mid bass is good but not overwhelm thus making the whole presentation well-bodied.


Midrange


Midrange is quite recessed while the vocals are made to appear upfront. The instruments like percussion and piano takes the backstage making it to sound thinner in texture making the vocals take the lead. The lower mids making a good presentation. The male vocals sounds with good tonal texture. The upper mids is the same as the lower mids where the female vocals can be more energetic causes shoutiness can be fatiguing sometimes. Nevertheless the realistic timbre of the instrument pleasantly present.



Treble


Treble is tamed, clean presentation, offering smooth dispersing decays. it is present enough to be heard with just the right amount of sparkle and shimmer adding more will just definitely enough. I can’t find any sibilance especially when paired with neutral sounding sources making a slight balanced sounding instead.



Technicalities


Just the right amount of good sense of space and width for soundstage. Not as tall and deep but I can’t find any consideration to complain about its overall staging.
Having enough clean separation. Detail retrieval can be better given the other aspects performing well it still literally good.



Conclusion

The premium packaging comes with a high quality boxing with a slide out draw that holds three modular connector pins (2.5mm balanced, 3.5mm and 4.4mm balanced terminations) a cylinder containing an excellent modular cable. The two sets of silicone tips "Vocal ear tips" and "Balanced ear tips" The cable has an excellent quality and looks.

Comfort and Fit

Bass

The mid-bass it is forte, with quantity just enough when called. The quality of midbass is truly exceptional. The sub-bass is not the most extended, with a noticeable roll-off, resulting in no big rumble heard. It makes it up with solid texturing noted, with a punchy, fast and clean bass without any mid-bass bleed.

Midrange
It has a more forward midrange and also a more thick note weight. Like the bass, sounds linear and clean, allowing you to literally enjoy the lushness of vocals and instrumental layers. The warm tonality of this iem removes all the negative quality of a planar transducer.

Treble

The highs is airy and resolving, it has great treble extension without being bright or sounding overly pushed to get fake air. As for the lower part of the treble, it sounds smooth and relaxed. Not dull by any means, just a forgiving and musical treble presentation. The transducer has less to no metallic timbre makes you have more time to listen to.

Technicalities
The soundstage is quite impressive. Giving the S15 an extra juice will produce the sound out of your head and above average in term of wideness and tallness.

The imaging and layering is above average. The sound layering is great making a holographic macro dynamic experience, but it feels a bit foggy in background when bass is produce or midrange instrument like vocal take the lead the wide presence of it will give a slightly blur definition edge of other instrument in similar range. With instrumental musical like classical, the imaging is impressive.



Conclusion
The Letshuoer S15 delivers a top-notch audio experience with its comfortable build and design and impressive sound quality. The enjoyment and time you spend with it will justify the price it cost. If you're in the market for high-end earphones that prioritize audio fidelity and for prolonged listening session, the Letshouer S15 is undoubtedly worth considering.

EW200 are made out of metal, both shells and faceplates. Glossy and mirrored finish. Build quality is exceptional in this IEM a huge plus.

The shape of EW200 is compact and small. It fits my ears very well and it has enough curves to fit comfortably in your ears for hours.

I try to recabling the EW200 with Nicechk Blackcat

I find it more warmth, more thickness of notes, forward vocals and toning down the treble a bit.


Bass
Well controlled and presented its not as boomy but it is definitely okay. The sub-bass is slightly less present, but comes up in a clean way. Definitely this is not for basshead pips out there, the EW200 have a very tight and fast bass and a moderate texture quantity.

Mids
the midrange is not recessed. Even though the lower midrange is not really deep or rich, the overall balance of the mids is surprisingly good, with very forward instrument reproduction, good layering and separation. Female vocals are suprisingly good where it excels, I find it more prominent than male vocals.

Treble
This is where it shines, picking a lot of details and nuances. Treble extension is good and a lot of air and sparkle which create illusion of having a very wide soundstage, its energetic treble can be harsh for some.

Soundstage

It is wide with average depth and height not as tall or deep. Average soundstage indeed.

Imaging

Instrument separation is good with good layering but its resolution can compete with 100$ iem price range. Its surprisingly good.

Conclusion

A 40$ set theres no more you can ask for. If you're looking for something Harman tuned that is easy to drive and its scales well with better sources this is the best choice right now. A punchy bass, clear midrange, sparkly and airy highs, good soundstage and above average resolution this is a easy recommendation for those people who just starting their journey. This is a superb iem.
