Up for sale is my heavily modified BHC. I absolutely love this amp, and it served as the daily driver for my Verites for over a year. The only reason I'm selling is because I finally upgraded to an IHA-1. This is an exceptional example of the crack, and is about as good as they get. This crack has had just about every possible upgrade done to it, and the craftsmanship is incredible. Given that, the price is a reflection of both the attention to detail that went into making this amp, and the cost of parts, which is broken down below:

Crack with speedball - $492
Dayton Audio 100uF 250v Caps - $83.96
Triad C-7X Power Choke - $12.66
Cree Diodes - $7.84
Audio Note 100k Pot - $61.81
Volume Knob - $8.99
Brimar 12AU7 and Bendix 6080WA - $250

Total - $917.26

Parts alone total over $900, and I have seen similar spec cracks listed on eBay for $1400+, so I'm asking $900 + shipping. This amp functions absolutely flawlessly aside from the pot being slightly scratchy around 10-12 o'clock. Cosmetically the only issue is a very small chip in the wood in front of the input tube, side from that it's in excellent condition. Sonically the amp is phenomenal. I'll include a pair of right angle rca adapters, a power cable, and a power cable riser (for use with aftermarket cables) with the amp. Please feel free to contact me with questions, or for more pictures.

^ It's very well executed. I'd ask if he has paperwork on the test results (if any) on the tubes. His pot and 6080 are very good. So is his 12AU7 if you stick with that type. None of his other upgrades is below above average. I'd offer $775, if he has any assurance on the tubes (including channel vs channel output, beyond power output) than $850.

Will lower the price to reflect that, the tubes are in excellent condition, and I believe were originally purchased as NOS. Obviously test results speak more than words, so I'll see if I have a tube tester laying around.

NOS is a term that is really overloaded/misused IMO. In the 1980-1995 time frame you could score real ones, and not that highly priced. Look at the massive uptick in vendors - no longer just Marantz, Fisher, Dynaco, ARC, C-J, BK, Manley - but the anti digital explosion from China, Schitt, and many others is an avalanche of demand.

I'm very careful buying mine (which is why I can't close the deal on a real good verified 5998 or 6080WB), and you've got good names, but a test solidifies it.
