Hiya, the cables look gorgeous!

Not sure if you know the answer or if you used them for extending cable length, but am curious as to the use case of a 4.4mm male to 4.4mm female cable audio wise? Does it have an impedance (act as an impedance adapter) or are there any advantages of adding that to a setup? I have a portable setup, Dap (N7) to iem (Gaea in 4.4mm) - am looking to build up the setup - so every so often snoop at open listings and came across this one.

Appreciate any insight on this!

Hi, actually my case of use was rather unusual - I had a cable with a 4.4 plug termination which fitted very tightly in my DAP and was rather hard to remove... That gave me an idea to try a Penon Totem adapter and also see what it does to the sound... My daps and cables have changed, and at the moment I do not feel the need to add this adapter to the chain!

Ah nice, that's a pretty interesting use-case, protecting the original cable! Did you find any audio changes (good/ bad/ none - preserving signal)?

Actually, I was a bit more concerned about the health of the DAP socket… soundwise, some difference could be heard, but I didn’t spend much time focusing on capturing those differences which obviously were not big.
