Got these the other week. They are beautiful, comfortable, and sound great. However, they made me realise that my HEkse is damn close to perfect in stock form, for me.

The pads are: non-angled, memory foam, leather outside, suede contact patch, perforated suede interior. Standard HE1000se ear cavity. Standard Ntrax pad thickness (extra thick).

What do they sound like? They sound exactly as intended: wider, bigger, even more speaker-like presentation, more discreet imagining, elevated, more controlled/textured bass, slightly rolled off treble. However, I found that the stock HEkse presentation to be what what I preferred. Although I really appreciated the change to the bass and imagining, I didn’t prefer the other changes, compared to stock for most of the music I listen to (rock, metal, jazz). I will say that for big electronic stuff, these pads absolutely floored the stock presentation.

I have maybe driven these pads for 10 hours, max. They’re in as new condition. Although purchased for a HEkse, they will fit other egg-shaped HFM cans; though I can’t speak to what they will do to the sound.
