Woo Audio TUBE mini Balanced Headphone Amplifier/DAC

I found that it depends. You'll get finer increments using the DSP volume control from the streaming service, but it may or may not be bitperfect. If you max out the streaming app and use the tube mini, depending on your IEM/HP, you'll get a pretty large jump between volume steps. You can...

Shure KSE1500 Review - Shure KSE1500 Sound Isolating Electrostatic Earphones

I set the volume on the KSE to unity gain and use the Mojo2 for volume control. I rarely use the KSE volume control.

Shure KSE1500 Review - Shure KSE1500 Sound Isolating Electrostatic Earphones

Yes. I dial down the treble region and boost bass a touch when playing 80s rock. I also frequently use the crossfeed. Otherwise, the stock tuning matches well with the KSE.

Chord Electronics ☆ Poly ☆ (wireless & microSD module for Mojo) ☆★►USEFUL INFO on 1st PAGE!!◄★☆

Given the advanced desktop mode on the Mojo2, I wonder it it isn't better just to keep it plugged in when not in use? Poly IIRC has battery management as well and is designed to be plugged in desktop mode. The fear of batteries dying is greater than the actual battery dying. We torture our...

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

I'm with you. The allure of such a powerful, multifunctional unit complels me. But, I absolutely have no use case for it.

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

Where my journey began. I remember the first network hard drive at the school my Dad taught. It was the size of a small pizza oven. 5 whopping MB. I now have 20TB storage and a network arguably more complex running my HT and home automation.

Many. Care to elaborate on what you are looking for? I like the Mojo2 KSE1200 combination personally.

Chord Mojo 2 Thread ___ [product released January 31, 2022 -- starting on page 95 of thread]

Chord DACs are known for being neutral and extremely detailed without being bright or harsh. So, no it is not placebo--it is by good design.

    Grado Fan Club!

Agreed. The GS1000X and Folkvangr are an insanely good combo. The soundstage and timbre are just so good.

If you intend to use it with good, stable WiFi, the poly is second to none. Sound quality is considered one of the best combinations for the Mojo2 by many here.

How is the Mojo2/Poly cheaper as a combo? Are you getting them as a package deal? As stated above, the Poly will lose charge when it is disconnected about the same as anything else. You'll end up using the Poly at home streaming Qobuz and Tidal as you want lossless over WiFi. I usually leave...

Chord Mojo 2 Thread ___ [product released January 31, 2022 -- starting on page 95 of thread]

Well, in general, the Mojo2 can handle pretty much any planar headphone except for crazy to drive headphones like the Abyss 1266 and Susvara. I use the DCA stealth, Diana V2, and Aeon 2 Noire with excellent results.

In reality, the Pi solution is 99% set it and forget it. I haven't touched my RooExtend Pi endpoint in months. Same with the SoTM. But these are strictly endpoints, not servers. But I understand your point. The Pi is the endpoint, if you don't want to mess with a server, I can understand that...

I'll second SoTM Neo 200 as a very nice, uncomplicated, reliable streamer. You can get them on sale for less than $400. You seem to be a DIY kinda guy. You can build a Raspberry Pi streamer for pretty inexpensive. There's a couple good freebie streaming software/firmwares available. I used...

    Focal Utopia General Discussion

There no "best". Reviews are a grain of salt phenomenon. If you generally like the reviewers preferences, great! Otherwise it's a crap shoot. I'm sure if TAS, Sterophile, etc... don't like a sponsors product, they won't review it. It's they way the Audophile world works.
