For that budget you have a lot of other DAPs to play with, I mainly chose the SR35 for it's portability (slipped into my laptop sleeve / jeans pocket) sufficient battery life and for some reason the UI comes naturally to me, it's my first AK by the way (For cost reasons) LOL.

I think the main reason is smoother / faster UI due to improved specs, definitely 4.4mm if you're using that and a different Quad DAC setup that provides different sound sig.

The 900s has the edge over details and soundstage, never heard the Focal Clear MG so i can't comment. Overall, including bass, tonality ... IE600 for me.

Own the QueStyle M15, very happy with it. The RU7 sounds really nice ~ I don't think you'd have issues running through the USB-C without the dong. You'd hear different stuff with different dongs. Battery life wise no comment, not a fruit user.
