    The Fiio X3 Thread.

The HD 380 is one of their professional headphones.  It's pretty well known around here, though not exactly popular and definitely not the sort of thing that'll be sold on the mainstream market.  Though their PC350 gaming headset is based on it, I believe.

    The iBasso DX50 Thread - Latest firmware: 1.9.5 - June 30, 2016

Hey guys, question.  How good is the sorting of music with tags work on the latest firmware?  I have a great need for a player which can actually sort albums with the "album artist" tag instead of just the "artist" tag, otherwise albums with different artist names always get split up into...

    The Fiio X3 Thread.

Yeah, I might have to do that.  iTunes has already sorted them all like that for me, for the most part.  It'll be a huge pain looking for what I want that way though, and I don't think the tracks are all labelled properly...does it sort them all alphabetically, or can it sort them by track...

    The Fiio X3 Thread.

Well, simply as a single album.  For example, iTunes will split the album even if they all have the same album name - given that it is, in fact, one album, it should be sorted as such.  This is the case with albums where there are guest artists and mixes where each track is simply a different...

    The Fiio X3 Thread.

Thanks for letting me know!  I might have to hold off for now, then.  Honestly a majority of my albums are tagged in such a way that it just won't sort properly then.  I hope they fix this soon, I can't imagine it's a difficult thing to do.  I'd rather not have to retag ever single album that...

    The Fiio X3 Thread.

I have a question for those who have an X3.  When sorting tags, does it take into account the "Album Artist" tag?  I have many albums which have many different artist names in a single album, but one album artist so they list as being in the same album.  Some audio players (most android ones...

    V-MODA M-100: Discussion/Feedback, Reviews, Pics, etc.

I'm pretty sure one of those reviewers who did the M-100 review on Headfonia hated the LCD-2 as well.  Go figure.

    V-MODA: LP2 or M-100.

Quote: They're great for DJing, but you'll never see them using them in the studio!  I like V-Moda too, I wouldn't have the M-80 or M-100 if I didn't. :P   Anyway, the basic gist of it is, the M-100s are better than the LP2.

Best closed headphones to recommend to replace the Beats Solo HDs.

V-Moda M-80 or one of the new Logitech ones, either would be good.  If he wants to spend as much as the Studios though, he might as well go for the M-100 because they are significantly better. :P

    V-MODA: LP2 or M-100.

Quote: If you're gonna be producing I won't recommend anything by V-Moda at all.  They're fun to listen to, but would be pretty much worthless to make something that actually sounds good on everything.  In fact, ideally you shouldn't be using headphones at all, but least of all coloured...

    V-MODA: LP2 or M-100.

Quote: I honestly don't see why you would, but you could bring it back that way.  It might be better to just EQ down the treble and midrange to bring out the bass, but you can do it however you want I guess.  The bass really is enough for pretty much anyone though.

From what I've seen, it seems like only the people who got shipping with tracking (in canada) had to pay customs charges?

    V-MODA: LP2 or M-100.

I haven't listened to the LP2 for awhile, and only listened to it for an hour or so.  But from memory and from measurements it's quite a bit less, maybe ~5-7dB less?  There's still a ton of bass though.  The LP2 simply had too much bass for most genres, and the M-100 is right on the edge of that.

    V-MODA: LP2 or M-100.

Well the M-100 is definitely better.  A bit less bass, and more highs.  Also the awesome folding mechanism!

    Acquiring Othro Drivers?

Well given how cheap the T50RP is, you can just order that and take the drivers out of it.

    Vsonic GR07 MK2 - stunning new cable! | bio-cel tech IEM | now with review - see 2nd post

Quote: I agree that the the treble is the weakest part of the GR07's signature.  I really wish the later revisions they made fixed that, it would make the IEM pretty much perfect for me.

    V-MODA M-100: Discussion/Feedback, Reviews, Pics, etc.

Quote: EDM, mostly.  Anything with lots of bass and treble.  It makes everything sound a bit more natural for music like that, at least for me.  It's pretty okay with most other genres but it's outdone by many other headphones that are more suited for them.  Still among the best for EDM...

    Help: Bose AE2 vs v-moda m80

Quote: That's debatable.  For me, the comfort of the M-100s (basically a higher end version of the LP2, closer to the M-80) is actually less than the M-80 because my ears hit up against the driver grille.  Most people seem to be fine with the comfort though.   The LP2s won't sound as...

    Help: Bose AE2 vs v-moda m80

For sound, definitely the M-80.  AE2 will be much more comfortable, but honestly sound flat and lifeless next to the M-80.  Comfort on the M-80 can take some getting used to though, but if you live with it for a few weeks they'll form to your ears better and will get more comfortable over time.
