Funny enough I might edit my review because the stock tips actually work the best lol. They seem to dampen the 9khz and push that peak back to 11khz which is A LOT more tolerable than having excess 8.5-9khz energy. With the Dunu SS tips that was what I wrote my review on, the SS tips do not work...

Their old iems sure. But that was during a time when no one understood what HRTF was, a 12db rise peaking at 2khz was par for the course along with insane resonances at 4-5khz and horrible treble was a normal stroll in the park. Now their new IEMS are actually moving towards more shoutyness...

Maybe try the closed edition of the 598s? It might be the best of both worlds. You'll have the big bass presence of the dt770 and the convenience factor of the smaller sennheiser?

Wow! Sennheiser and Fiio ex1 that low? I have both the hd650 and the ex1 and those are two of my favorites. Shouldn't the ex1 be somewhat similar to the AKG signature actually?

I just got the FiiO EX1s and if anyone doesn't know already, they're literally just rebranded Dunu Titan 1s for a smaller price. Same everything. I'll be honest with you, I wasn't expecting these to be half as good as they are. The sound quality is shocking. I haven't done any in depth analysis...

I seriously wouldn't worry about it. Worst that could happen is that wired is a different sound signature than wireless. It's plausible but usually not an issue

I don't have the Piston 3 but I have the VSD3(S). They are quite impressive technically. I might get the pistons soon but it seems that the sound signature of both is quite similar. Controlled bass with a slight V shape. The VSD3S has quite a bit of treble energy so maybe the piston 3 sound...
