Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
TIL “synth-pop meets jazz band” is an actual genre. Ragnarok 2 is crushing it with this album through the Atriums. :L3000:- michael2v

Schiit Ragnarok Amplifier
Please keep us posted once you get it back! Mine has started buzzing on all gain levels through the balanced out to my Atriums; oddly, it’s actually loudest in low gain, and switches channels with different gain settings. I will try on a different circuit on the house since I’m hoping it’s...- michael2v

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up
Texas is the only state I’ve ever been to where I’ve heard people say, “it’s too hot out to use the swimming pool.” 🤷🏻♂️😅 Still, sounds like what I’d call a “high quality problem” when you’re coming from New York in February!- michael2v

I have the latest Rag 2 so I suppose I’ll never know what I’m missing, but nice hefty knobs are a major reason why I buy the big Schiit! 🤓🤌- michael2v

Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!
I haven’t tried the Dekonis either, but I did switch from the generated V1 pads to the vegan suede, and they are considerably more plush, which makes for a more comfortable wear (especially with eyeglasses). The Diana’s are now the most “transparent” headphone I own, in the sense that I forget...- michael2v

For those of us with multiple headphones, which ones are you listening with now?
A bit of musical “Inception,” as it were! This album is giving me some serious Telefon Tel Aviv vibes, but more instrumental and ambient. So good…- michael2v

Sennheiser HD650 & Massdrop HD6XX Impressions Thread
If I’d never heard the 650, I’d be totally happy with the 660 S2. It’s only the fact that I started my head-fi journey with the 650 and have tried numerous sources before absolutely falling in love with the Bottlehead Crack (the reputation of this pairing is not exaggerated, it turns out), so...- michael2v

Sennheiser HD650 & Massdrop HD6XX Impressions Thread
What else is in your source chain? I would describe the 660 S2 as a more v-shaped 650, but it loses a bit of that buttery mid-range (especially on high-impedance tubes). It definitely improves on everything that the 560S was meant to be, with none of the compromises. Given recent sale prices...- michael2v

Schiit Ragnarok Amplifier
If I could easily hear it (like I can on high gain) I would definitely be bothered. I’m not 100% convinced I can actually hear anything on medium gain by toggling the mute on and off, but my tinnitus sometimes comes and goes by the hour. 😂 Since yours seems to be very pronounced I’d still...- michael2v

Schiit Ragnarok Amplifier
Update: I do hear some sizzle in high gain with my Atriums through the SE port, independent of volume. I think I might also hear the *faintest* bit of background noise in medium gain, but my tinnitus beats it out for attention. I’m planning to get a balanced cable for my ZMFs, so will report...- michael2v

Schiit Loki Max Impressions
Can anyone shed some light on how much overlap there is between the adjustment bands? The website shows single values for the 6 bands (20Hz, 120Hz, 400Hz, 2kHz, 6kHz, 16kHz), but I know with the Loki Mini+ for example that the bands are not 100% discrete, which is why something like this is...- michael2v
