I already ordered mine last night when I saw Mark announce it on Twitter that it was on their product page. Looks like it'll be shipped Oct 4th . Funnily though I thought it was going to use the ESS 9018-M2 but its using the ESS 9010-M2 instead (which incidentally I didn't even know about until it popped up on his page - had to go to ESSTech's page to read up about the 9010-M2).
Eh?? You mean the other way around that they should have used mini or micro but not type-B? There was a tweet about it back in July but I'll have to dig it up. Sasaki-san/music2go asked the same Q.
Mark was supposed to have shipped mine on Oct 4th but I've not received any tracking info from him yet. I just sent him mail today to ask him if he had shipped it.
Edit: Mark responded and provided tracking. it was shipped and it's already in Japan shores .

Bummer I was in the office & UPS doesn't deliver on weekends.
I got mine a couple of days ago and I am about as low profile as it gets.
I have been using Audiovana to play on my Macbook Pro.
I can't hear a hint of back-ground noise, totally silent on quiet sections, well apart from the vinyl rips where clicks and pops stand out a mile. No problems getting it working with DSD64 and DSD32 files. Listening with Earsonic SM64 (my favourite IEMs) and Shure SRH840.
Better than the iBasso DX50 for hirez FLAC files, DX50 is thin and tinny in comparison.
As good as the AK120 on DSF files, a little less bass but still well presented.
