It would be nice!
But I don't see the need of carrying 500k songs with me on the road. 3-500 is plenty for my need.

the best bit would be youd be able to have a whole HD dvd collection saved on it also at 100% quality, its what i do on my hard drive now using dvd fab, tkaes up so much space i use it only for normal dvds as of now, (each file 3-5gbs and laptops dont have the biggest of hhds), very useful in PVR

Funny, my prof last semester was talking about this stuff too. This is his field of research and hes been looking for practical uses for the spin direction of electrons and the orientation of the spin axis (or something like that, I really didnt have any idea what he was talking about).

It would be cool technology to replace laptop harddrives... I hate only being able to run 2 or 3 hours at a time on battery right now.
