There will likely be a ZMF Aegis thread made closer to the release date of the commercial amp (May 10th) in the main amplifiers forum. My thinking is that tube rolling discussion, listening impressions etc for both DIY and ZMF would continue there and this thread would be more focused on DIY building/questions. Of course its whatever the community wants but it makes the most sense to me to sort of consolidate impressions discussion there whenever that thread is made.

Will there be a run down of differences between the two versions? Not sure what level of detail and scope would be appropriate for that though. And I think the pool of people on the fence between buying and building might be quite small.

I have spent weeks reading through this forum and gathering the supplies for the DIY Aegis, and have everything except the chassis which Landfall is backed up on, only to be smitten with the ZMF version…. Ughhh…. Now I am left torn between continuing on the build or bailing and getting in line for the ZMF version. If anyone is interested in buying the materials for the DIY version, let me know. I have done most of the legwork for you and all you need is a little soldering time! The hard part is gathering all the parts!
