I checked the sticky on how to make interconnects above but the links the guy posted for heatshrink sources just goes into a thread on SSDs.

Im recabling my Shure E2Cs and I need a source for heatshrink and what the right size would be for 2 wires twisted together. Anyone with experience want to chime in?

Anyone know what diameter and what length your typical headphone cords are?

Stock headphones usually have zip-cable.
On my d1001, Od is 2.4mm by 4.7mm, Hd650 is 3.2mm by 6.1mm, 1.5m and 3m long respectively.

All of my DIY headphone cables are no thicker than 6mm with the sheating, and are around 2-2.5m long

Thanks guys. Cyberspyder do you use 2:1 heatshrink or 3:1 and where do you buy yours from?

I use 2:1 for most tasks...y-splits I use 3:1. I try to avoid 3:1 for other tasks because the material shrinks thicker than the 2:1 rendering it more ridgid than the 2:1.
