After using the porta corda with the ES2's as main source at my work I tested the ES2's at home with my aria. It is the best sounding combination I have heard up till now! They (ES2) give me more pleasure than my Alessandro MS1's or Sennheiser HD600+cardas cable. It seems like that everything fits perfect, tight bass, smooth mids, fresh highs, extreme detail it's all there!
Best of all the aria doesn't suffer the "usb noise" that the porta corda III does have.
I've only used the aria with it's own DAC and haven't tested it with the line-in; but from what I've been hearing up to now I'm more than pleased
for the record:
Ogg Vorbis -q 0.6 -> Foobar2000 (direct sound) -> Aria -> ES2
