I got both the Clarion tips and the Dunu S&S tips in the last few days. I think I prefer the Dunu S&S with the Bonneville slightly. A bit too much treble with the Clarion are initial impressions on some tracks but of course, I have to listen more.

I have let go of the Dorado 2020 b/c it was too "dark" for me, and I'd like a CFA with bass AND treble, would the Cascara be too similar to the Dorado 2020 to satisfy me??

The Black Star and Supermoon have been suggested to me as more balanced, but just curious about the Cascara vs Dorado 2020.

Really liking the Spinfit w1 tips on the Andromedas.

Used the cp100 and final type E before, but these are superior.
Beter fit. Slightly bigger in size and and a somewhat sticky feel wich helps keep the seal.

Soundwise they seem quitte similar to the cp100.
Perhaps some more clarity, but too soon to tell.

(At least the colour matches the Andromeda better in size M 😉)

I got it bad (and that ain’t good)

I knew I would *have* to buy Ara eventually. I just didn’t expect it to be quite so soon. Too many new toys all at once, but some deals are too good to pass up. Looks like I’ll be eating instant ramen more often for a bit longer.

I heard the Trifecta was pretty good too

Nice collection

Can you share some thoughts about the BlackStar treble? Do you find it to be sibilant or fatiguing?
I don’t think I’m all that sensitive to treble fatigue. Might be age. I used to sometimes find violins a little screechy, so my favorite classical always featured cello or piano.
Even if I were prone to it, I don’t think Black Star would be a problem though. I find it very balanced, but It might depend on music preference.

Ok, thanks. I already own the Vega2020 and have a feeling that the BlackStar would compliment it nicely...
