Hello,

I am pretty new in terms of tube amps and pure amps as itself.
I am currently using a Sony TA-Z1HES which has a DAC integrated and because of this a lot of input possibilities.
On the research of a totl headphone tube amp I found the Cayin HA-300MK2 which is pretty awesome on the paper (and really beautyful) and also got a lot of praise.
Unfortunately I don't have a Desktop DAC yet and the Cayin has none integrated.
Would it be possible to use a 4.4mm to XLR Cable (there are some of IFI or Meze) to connect my Cayin or Sony DAP to use it as DAC? Or is this a Bad idea?
On the longterm I plan to get a Desktop DAC.

Thank you :)

The amp on your dap has a sound signature so it will be infused into the sound output. Some dap has a line out that bypass the amp, you can try that. And I do this too with my m17 4.4mm to xlr into amps.
