I bought a dedicated DAC/Pre amp and HP amp a few weeks ago I'm using in my dedicated system. Lately,  I'm finding that when I try to get it to play, I'm not getting any sound. If I power it off and then back on, it works. I happens sporadically. Any thoughts?

What's the DAC?  How are you feeding it?  USB, coax, or optical?

It's a Nuprime DAC 10-H (DAC/pre amp/HP amp) using as part of a dedicated speaker and HP system. I'm using digital cables between the DAC and a CDP and a Sonos connect and RCA to a power amp. I’ve swapped in some new digital cables. I’m wondering if there’s something going on with the connection.

Since it's not USB, the chances of having data stream issues are greatly reduced.  Does it have a mechanical mute?  As mentioned above, it's likely losing a data lock, and it is probably the fault of the DAC, or a mechanical mute is sticking after there was a change in the source files--bit rate, etc.  Either way, it sounds like the DAC is at fault and you may want to contact the manufacturer.
