Are there any DACs out there with an HDMI input that supports the lip-sync correction spec, or DACs that have a variable audio delay?
I'm looking to upgrade my headphone setup for watching movies, but televisions all have variable video delays now (anything from 16-200ms) so a "standard" DAC connected directly to the source will play audio out of sync with the video.
I'm having a hard time finding anything like this for headphones though, all I can find is giant HT receivers that cost hundreds of dollars and clearly weren't designed with headphone use in mind, so you would need to buy a headphone amp on top of that.
Because this delay is variable depending on what the display is doing, proper support of the lip-sync spec is obviously preferable to something with a manual delay option - but that would be better than nothing.
