Not an audiophile expert by any means, but I can definitely hear the difference between the TC44C and the Apple 3.5mm dongle.

TC44C is more resolving / better detail than the Apple dongle.

Comparing the xDSD Gryphon from TC44C, the Gryphon has even more detail and better soundstage than the TC44C. In the end, we're comparing a $120 product vs a $600 product in the Gryphon.

I am currently using the TC44C when going out on short walks with my dog. Benefits of TC44C is that it does not run warm, has a small footprint, and uses less power compared to other small portable dac/amps.

I paired the TC44C with the 7Hz Timeless and I've been enjoying it immensely. Here are some reviews of the TC44C I found that gives a much better overview.

Thanks! I am wondering why this does not draw more attention on Headfi! It uses the same chips as the Luxury & Precision W2-131, which is highly praised here! I am wondering how these two compare!

Has anyone compared this with the newer ddHiFi TC44Pro? Same specs, just a bit lighter, without cable, and about 60% of the price of the TC44C.

Thanks - I have come across that review and the author primarily compares the TC44Pro to TC44A, not the TC44C. As expected, the TC44Pro surpasses the TC44A in every way, but not enough information with respect to the TC44C. The TC44Pro and TC44C have the same exact specifications with the former being 40% cheaper.

So i got myself a DC44Pro Usb-c version, and it refuse to work with tidal native app on my android phone, but it works with tidal in UAPP app. Then i opened spotify and it doesnt work spotify either. I gave first permission to UAPP, then tidal. I also tried denying UAPP permission to the dac and gave it only to tidal native app but it didnt work either. I restarted my phone, but no cigar.

Any ideas what it can be?
