Yup, that's the platter&housing of a hard drive, the electronics are gone tho.

But lie detector? Oh, that's the chart recorder (if you're referring to the bench-right.jpg pic) that I use for seismographic recording/experiments.

Why don't the rest of you post pics? I for one would love to see Apheared's work space...

LOL, chych, as recently as a couple years ago we had an SE/30 running as a DNS server for an entire graduate school at a huge university

We also used it for a year or so as a mailing list server (LetterRip) that served over 50 lists!
