FiiO Hybrid IEMs Discussion & Impressions Thread

I wasn't the only one who found them boring. Moreover, the tour organized on Tellement Nomade had been stopped prematurely by the retailer in France at the origin of the tour, he obviously did not find the returns quite dithyrambic... And then, 2k$/€ for a packaging worthy of an entry-level IEM, Aure Audio is not serious on this point.
It's not very important that our points of view differ on the Elixir, we have to accept that we don't all expect the same thing, and that's a good thing.

But let's get back to the FH9s, which deserve it.
Really strange, really... 🤔🤔🤔

They are on top of my list of robust (weight, density) and energetic uiem's, FH9's included (the same) ... 😐

Those one are more "reference" oriented than these Elexir's, which are fun/hot/W tuned, with a strong bass, strong and forwards mediums, and a sparkling top end (that needs to be tamed, or controlled). My current exemplary. Very strange. 🧐

A list of gears that I find boring :

U12t, U18t (not really boring but generic tuning), Anole vx, UE18+ V3, FitEar Fitear (when you compare it against a 111, a 334 or a 435 ! No comment)...

But yes, it is true that the Aure packaging is just terrible. And the stock cable is a piece of s....t😭

Exactly the contrary of the Fh9... 😂😂😂

Thanks a lot for the help!!! I received an answer to my e-mail, let's see how this ends up. The earphones are in great condition, I love the sound, specially with the spinfit eartips. Just the cable not as strong as it seems, but it can be replaced fortunately. I will keep you updated.

Here is my video about FH7S

In short: unbelievably great accessories set, an excellent design, and a superbly tailored fun signature. Not for "sound purists", but for those who want to get a drive, groove, slam, and so on… But also not "overdone" to my taste. And with a great stage

I like the bass from FH7.I'm a kind of bass head like Meze Classics 99 and Sony Mdr1, but I also like sound separation and sound stage.
How do they compare with Fio FH7?

i have the fh7 as well and would be interested in a direct comparison as well.

Unfortunately, I can't do a direct A/B comparison (part of my collection was left in the Irpin and I'm not sure if it's survived at all), but "by memory" I like FH7S more.
FH7 sounded weightier on mids for me, with more focus on impact and tightness, while FH7S is more open and closer to neutrality (not neutral per se, огие closer)
Also, FH7S is better in terms of staging (probably because of open construction and sounds more "fun", but at the same time technical enough. Bass is punchier and a bit better controlled, and treble sounds a bit less energetic for me. So in my perception FH7S is a noticeable step forward, unless you like exactly old FH7's signature, as FH7S changes it noticeably

But please take it with a grain of salt, as "by memory" comparisons aren't as precise as direct A/B. Hope someone will do this test and correct me if I'm wrong
