Let's wait for @JamesFiiO's responseNot supported on UAC1 and pcm only up to 192/24. I don't believe it would work for MQA. Not that thats a problem really.

For the second solution, we already have some bluetooth headphone amp which can works in both situaion, as dongle or bluetooth device so it is not necessary to add a new SKU.
I do have a BTR15, and it's a very nice device, and a great size. Unfortunately there is a bug that makes the EQ not usable for me on my iPhone 15 Pro. See my post here.

It's unfortunate loss of convenience, but you can still change everything including parametric eq directly through the device itself from my understanding..
You can setup custom PEQ profiles through the device? Or are you saying you can switch EQ profiles?
I want to be able to setup custom EQ profiles, which I thought would require the App.
Dear friend,Is PEQ global for all outputs, including SPDIF, and has the ability to correct also for MQA files from Tidal?
EQ is not supported for Spdif out and MQA in KA17 currently.
Best regards

On a second reading of their reply, i am not positive they were talking about adjusting the parametric EQ settings themselves on the device.
Watching the video, you can definitely switch between the 3 'user created' parametric eq profiles on the device itself though once they have been created.

Yes, PEQ needed to be adjusted by the FiiO Control app for the KA17:

I received it today (in blue) and I am very pleased with the sound quality, usability and output power. Too early for sound assessment but some technical (nerdy) stuff for those interested: The Fiio KA17 does not draw any power from the USB-OTG host when the external power is connected in desktop mode or in normal mode ... I tested it with a throw-away old A3:
and thus it works perfectly with an iPhone when attached to a power bank (here a magsafe-like one with included USB-C cable) even in "desktop mode":
(yeah I am into magnets).
It actually gets quite warm with a harder to drive load in High Gain and D-Mode. Volume control is independent from phone-volume setting.
The SPDIF (coaxial) output works well but requires the Fiio-typical 4pin-3.5mm (digital signal on 3rd and 4th rings) cables as the Fiio-DAPs or the recent Fiio KA13. Unlike the KA13, the analog output (on the 4.4mm port) is not active any longer when SPDIF is switched on... tested here with a Chord Mojo (1):
I really like this one!

Love your magnetic mind, and personality. :XD that was super helpful information, and I've appreciated this! Good to know it gets warm at heavy load
The Blue leatherette case is where it is at. I'm definitely a Team Blue KA17-player, thank you to the engineers for the effort in the KA17. ^
Dig' the KA17.
@TheFritz thanks for letting us know no power is drawn from a phone when desktop mode is active from a different appropriate Supply, good to know.
The Overkill power bank: Goal Zero has the Sherpa AC 100, with a 150 Watt 120V capable inverter open box sale for 119.99 on eBay.
That is a good PD power bank with 120W AC Available as well. Weighs about 2lb, but hey, it is a Versatile thing. Why not explore
Plus the fun part is it Has A Drain and Charge i/o Display.
It can also Charge fast at 85-90 watts thru the PD USB C input, or so. I've owned one before and just ordered another this due to the sale.
It is an exceptional and exceptionally well made aluminum, brad bladted, anodized housing, wireless charge, PD power, useful portable power supply,
a power or Refill unit.
Good for recharging computers too, etc AL, a miniature blender OTG, whatever you can think of at under 150 watts. It is rated for 100, but it will do 150 for about 3 minutes, and 133 or 135 Watts-sustained.
