Quick walk before bed, dunno why I’m always in the mood for heavy music at bed time lately.

634ears Miroak-II + Tempotec V3

Just got this shared the other day by a friend, a very good IDM album. Does sound like very different soundscapes being portrayed in each track, for me very good music when working to forget time.

The Band Plays On (1975) by Back Street Crawler - Formed after the breakup of Free, this is Paul Kossoff's answer to Bad Company and it was quite a statement. Kossoff's playing is absolutely stellar and Terry Wilson-Slesser was quite a surprise on vocals and if it wasn't for Kossoff's drug problem this band could have been huge. For me it's all about Kossoff's guitar playing and for that I broke out the Vali 2 and SR325x combo as the low tech, high sound quality vehicle to experience that wonderful liquid sound and god-like vibrato that could make the guitar break down and cry. Sadly this was the only album released before his untimely death the following year.

The Sivga Nightingale plays gorgeously with solo acoustic instruments, and it's not too bad with a full symphony either. This well-known performance is tailor-made for them.

Sivga Nightingale < Singxer SA-1 < Mojo 2 < PC (Roon)

The Seville Concert (Expanded Edition) (1994), John Williams and the Royal Seville Symphony Orchestra

The soundtrack to a concert film without an audience. For me, this remains the definitive recording of a number of well-known Spanish guitar pieces.

That sivga veil - that many don't like and I (I guess we) love... How and why does it play that way?
Even the harshest music, metal, it plays out so serenely so charmingly well..(as you said candle light atmospheric) I wonder what's the secret sauce.. Can't be just the tuning..
