What should I expect coming from RS1s and DT770s? I tried the HD 580s awhile back but thought I should give it another go. I was hoping to find a relaxing can that does not wanna make me start foot tappin like RS1s. Sometimes I wanna just drift off with jazz or trance. Any opinions are welcome.

that spells 580/600/650's right there. i would get the 580's and not the 600's and upgrade the cable and grills. cheaper and on equal par with the 600's since they are almost exactly the same thing except the headband and aesthetics. i also painted the 580's (in my sig) to make them look way better than the 600's

A less "hot" sound in general. Definitely less bass than DT770 (Duh!) but more than a Grado. You'll find the highs somewhat recessed if you are too used to those pairs.

From my experience; you can expect your expectations to be as expected!

My HD600s are the perfect complement to my MS2i.

....to my ears.

EDIT: They CAN rock though when given the right material!
