HE1000 V2 and EDX V2 Are Coming Soon

Good time to do it. *cough* I'm a selling a V1 :)

Buy the *cough* Utopia? Actually I wouldn't need a new amp for V1, I can use my existing speaker tube amp. I'm not really in a hurry, I'm waiting for a V1 vs. V2 in-depth reviews. I'm not interested in buying a new or used V2, just curious what the differences are between the two.

So can the V1 owner pay for the V2 upgrade at a later date? This is important given that this is total unfair for the any V1 owner who have spend their hard earn on a beta HE-1000 unit just less than a year ago.

All I've seen is that HFM have said they'll release details of an upgrade process in October.

As long as the V1 is upgrade-able, then I'm cool with it.

Well, the new pads are available at headamp.com, but I do not know where to find the new cable.  New pads:

Good point.  Plus, the upgrades don't make the original worse--it's the same as it ever was.

Unfortunately, those pads are now gone, and the link only leads to a blank page :frowning2:

I will not retract myself about my comments about the upgrade program, specially about HE-1000...BUT, this new Edition X, at 1299usd, being all metal, black (no more cheap looking flashy paint), the new pads and other changes looks very interesting.

I'll wait for reviews, but the HEX V2 and Ayre Codex, both at ex-demo prices of course, could be a very interesting rig.

I wonder how the new version compares to the Elear.? Can anyone add some input?
