Do remember that half of the ECL86 is pretty much a single ECC83 triode....

Why do you think I'm looking for a volunteer to build that T2?

Justin,

Sorry if this has been asked before.

  • How much pre-burn are you doing for the new batch of BHSE on the bench before shipping them out?
  • How much additional burn-in is recommended for the amp?

Thanks.

This might get off-topic but did you try the Siemens E88CC? They are a bit warmer and more musical than the CCa, to my ears. That may make the 009 less fatiguing for long listening session. Sometimes putting most expensive tubes together doesn't guarantee the 'best' sound.

Congrats again on the T2, wish I could do the job as fast as Wachara

@Lil'l Knight :  Wachara is real fast, he will finish his second DIY T2 soon, probably less than a month and he is also making
his second pair of DIY ES headphone which sounds more like SR009 now.   Thanks for recommending the Siemens E88CC,
we don't have that but we have the CCa Siemens , may be we will try that soon.

@ Kjertijai: I'll trade you my Mazdas for your T2

@ Pachku : Thanks, I just ordered my Mazda 12AX7s from Brent Jessee
