I'm looking for a portable amp, as stated in the title.
So far, after reading around, I've found ALO Rx MkIII, ALO Continental and VorzAMP (http://vorzuge.com/?page_id=156). Any other suggestions? I'm looking at the 400$ to 700$-segment. Which I guess is pretty TOTL as far as portable amps are concerned.
The phones:
The low-impedance IEMs are Unique Melody Merlin. 12 Ohms, 108 dB SPL.
The LCD-2's need no further introduction.
A simple built-in EQ would be nice.
Low noise floor (the IEMs)
Low output impedance <1,5 Ohms (IEMs; damping factor = 12/8 = max 1,5 Ohms)
Built-in battery
Stepped volume control is a plus, but not necessary
Built-in DAC is a waste of money, so preferably not
Portable/Transportable. Doesn't have to fit in a pocket or something like that. More like transportable. Most of the time will be for studying, sitting at the library with the rig next to me. Still, doesn't have to fill up my whole bag.
Thanks in advance,
