Yes, of course you can try various dac's. When you connect them to the line output or even better through the coaxial cable, you are using the DAC chip of the other equipment and the information (music from the DX150). USB C is designed in this case to receive information from other equipment (music) and use the DAC chip of the DX150 with its internal amplifier.

I'm a bit confused, especially the last part.
I am trying to use my DX150 as a source of music to send data to a desktop amp with USB-B, coaxial, and optical digital inputs.
In this case, would I use the USB-C of my DX150 or the line out? (or would either work?)

If it is only an amplifier you must use the line output of the DX150 and the RCA or Jack input of the desktop amplifier. If it is an amplifier and DAC, you must use the coaxial digital input, with the coaxial cable included in the DX150.

I TOTALLY forgot that the DX150 came with a coaxial cable!
Thanks for reminding me, I went through my DX150 box to salvage the coaxial cable I stored because I thought I would never use it haha

My device got funky and decided to reflash from scratch.

Installing 1.01.017 went fine but now there is issue with 1.06.085
After installation device is stuck on boot screen (DX150 High Performance Digital Audio Player).

Tried re-downloading update from ibasso site.
Tried from internal memory and from sd card.
Tried with and without sd card.

Tried factory reset from 1.01.017 before applying update. Same result.

Any ideas/suggestions are welcome :)

I would go to the iBasso website to Downloads and download the Beta for the update to Android 8.1 and the driver and use that Android tool to do a fresh install. Then update in the normal manner to the latest firmware. You can also try turning the DX150 off, hold the play button and then the power button and when the screen comes on, release them and you will go into the boot mode. They do a wipe cache and see what happens.

Please use the erase tool in the Android tool. It is the erase function and then load the firmware. If still an issue, you may need to send the DX150 to us and you can email me at paul@ibasso.com.

Dear @Paul - iBasso
Successfully erased and installed firmware.
Firmware 1.01.017 is working fine.

But still cannot apply 1.06.085 update.
Is there something else I can try? What is possible cause?

Thanks for your help.

Update to 1.05.075 also works fine.
But again fails from 1.05.075 to 1.06.085. Stuck at boot logo.
Downloaded again 1.06.085 to make sure that file is not issue.
Super weird.

Issue is now resolved :xf_cool:

After installing 1.05.075 and Lurker DX150-A8.1-L1.22b2 device went to MangoOS (?)
After restart upgrade to 1.06.085 was possible.

Some weird MangoOS vs Android boot competition :)

Anyway - me happy :)
