Well its only about 4.2 inches of the material. Just enough to make a difference. No need for longer one either 10cm version will be fine. It comes up to be about 4.2inches in length. It actually comes with the purple plugs which is the palladium plated copper plug. Thats the one you want to go with anyway. I had a few guys mention they got the thing on order. Believe me it will surprise you with just how much of a difference this material makes. It enhances everything about the PB5.

You will especially notice when you go back to the stock interconnect that Ibasso provided. Which is not a bad interconnect but its a standard cable vs what that Totem represents. If you guys want an upgrade on your PB5 without spending a lot to do so. I can't recommend an easier way to do it. Get that 10cm version. Another reason why the 10cm version is a bit better is that the longer 20cm version might color the PB5 just a bit too much. 10cm is just right. I much prefer the 10mm vs my longer one let me put it that way.

You guys can thank me later once you try this. It was because of me that Penon made this thing, and I liked it so much it made sense they made it available for everyone. I tried 3 different types of plugs on the Totem interconnect and the purple palladium plug came out on top easily.

The short one is with black sleeve though?

The long one isn't

So are both really the same?
Yes it is. It started out looking like this.

Believe it or not this was the first ever Totem cable. Very garden hose like. Then they used a thinner PVC over the material that was more of a lighter blue. Then they used that all black cloth covering and now they have an all-white covering. They are all the same cable but with different looks.

Greetings everyone. I am very new to using audiophile equipment and a novice at understanding audio nomenclature.
I have been trying the get the best possible portable audio experience.
Iems: Symphonium meteor and Monarch MK3
Headphones: lcd2C, AtH-R70X and Hd6XX
I intend to buy Empyrean 2 and sell off meteor and LCD2C and HD6XX.
I generally like humungous amounts of mid bass in my music. I have liked the mojo 2 and use a 125 hz, 6db bass shelf on it for all my gear.
I liked the RU6, RU7 and then ventured into DAPs like V6, Kann Alpha and RS6. I recently bought Ibasso Dx320 with all the AMP cards.
Today, while randomly comparing the sound from K7 with ibasso amp 14 I noticed that the 'authority' and the 'effortlessness' with which K7 plays music sounds much better to my ears. I thought that it's about power so I switched to AMP12 with monarch MK3 but again, if I turn the volume up it gets shoutier on a DAP and on a desktop device lesser volume feels suffieicnet to enjoy every aspect of music. I guess I want to say I would love to have the 'dynamics' of a low end desktop device in a flagship portable device.
So my question is, is the addition of PB5 to Ibasso DX320 is going to make the sound better in terms of dynamics, control to the point it beats FIio K7?
Is amp power the reason why I feel this lacuna in my sound?
Are my expectations unreal in the first place?, expecting a DAP to perform as good as a desktop device running on DC power?
Like, with ibasso amp12 I don't feel the mid bass thump even half as good as I feel on the mojo 2 with the bass shelf.
I am not bringing in tonality at the moment of how warm or bright these combos sound. Right now I just can't get enough 'oomph'(lack of a better word) in my music which I do feel with a desktop device.
Thanks for reading.
