iFi audio GO pod + IEMs = brilliant wireless sound on the GO!

As an owner of 2 pairs of the UTWS5, I wholeheartedly welcome this product! I hope that you, @iFi audio , have been reading a bit the UTWS5 thread here... I sincerely hope your product will have a decent App, that it will support multipair connection properly and that it will not connect randomly to the phone/computer while stored inside its case. I also hope your LHDC implementation is not a beta. I hope that you will offer firmware updates frequently, not every century. And that someone who speaks English properly will be here for Support.

Well, there's an app actually, but unfortunately is the same awful app as with the Go Blu. Not sure why they didn't design a proper app for this rather expensive bluetooth product. So Im guessing these wont have OTA updates, just like the Go Blu?

I don't mind paying a premium price for a TWS-adapter, but then everything needs to be top notch, including the app, features (ambient mode etc), new BT SoC.

The Fiio UTWS5 deffo has it faults, but for the price of 1 Ifi Go Pod, you can buy almost 4 UTWS5...Ridiculous considering what the Go Pods are lacking. The SoC is basically the same as the one in the UTWS5 (QCC5144/QC5141).

Yeah, the price is more than a bit much for bluetooth quality sound. In the context in which I would use bt, the benefit of anything over aptx (or aac if you are an apple person) is marginal, if not entirely superfluous. I don't doubt ifi's ability to maximize sq in a given context, but for me this context is pointless.

The actual specs regarding the amp/dac looks very impressive, so I'm sure these will easily be the best sounding TWS-adapter on the market by far. That's what impressed me when I read the specs.

My problem is that the Go Pods are almost 4 times as expensive as the UTWS5, but they will have even fewer features and an even more awful software experience than Fiio (that's saying something). I mean not even OTA (unless something changed with GAIA-app) for 500 EUR...

Are you kidding? Have you ever listened to LDAC or APTX HD vs Aptx or AAC? No need to answer; we all have our perceptions and opinions. For me there's no contest in SQ.

@iFi audio Are you going to keep working with other renowned IEM manufacturers on expansion of your range of loops with different connectors?

I wonder if the GO pod will ever become compatible with the JH Audio 7-pin IEMs?

I have, and out and about with the concomitant noise floor, I can't tell the difference. And that is the only context in which I would go wireless. Ymmv, and apparently does.

Is something like that even possible?!
I am looking forward to what @iFi audio has to say...

The 1st 1000 will only be sold in an IEM bundle, thereafter standalone will be available as well.

For now the list is closed, but we never say never

For now we'll wait what users have to say

That's correct!

Hi and thanks @iFi audio. Are you able to address the 2 questions posed here?
