A few years ago my DT990 broke and I had to get it replaced. Beyer was very prompt in sending me a new one but I noticed pretty much from the get-go that the very highend of the frequency spectrum seemed biased towards the right ear, and this has been driving me nuts all this time, but I tried to get past it.
A couple weeks ago I pinpointed the frequency, and it's right around the 10KHz mark. The right ear just seems more pronounced than the left, and I wore them backwards to verify this. I've had these headphones for a few years and doubt any kind of burn-in will help the issue, although that hasn't stopped me from trying. Unfortunately they're well out of warranty, so I'm just wondering if there's anything that can be done before I throw in the towel and buy another pair.
Beyer repair service, perhaps?
