I also have an iDSD2 and Meze 109 combo and I can confirm, they match really well! They were Atrium Open. Yes, it has enough power to drive them to listenable levels, but you won't hear their true potential. If someone only has high impedance cans, the iDSD2 might not be a good choice.
Meze 109 and iDSD2 are a phenomenal pairing. That combo sounds about the same as Feliks Echo and Atrium Open.

I think you misunderstand. I am asking about the actual power output, not these, basically fake numbers. The Diablo was stated as having almost 5W of power (impossible for a battery powered unit, even ignoring heat dissipation) yet in two independent measurements, it was shown to be under 1W. When queried in the past, someone was told that it was a peak, instantaneous measurement.
I've been PMed a number closer to 1500mW, which is still good.
ok this is very interesting, so the amp is actually closer to 1500mW not 5,551 mW (@ 32Ω)? This is the first time I've seen this, I've always took the power output figures at face value, is this the case with a lot of manufactures? take the topping A90 which is meant to output a maximum whopping 9800mW, is this real or fake? would be nice to have this clarified further?
edit -
Just been catching up on this topic in the Diablo thread, seems like they didn't learn, people should really be aware that this isn't a 5w amp, very poor show from IFI on this indeed.

It's still seems to be the "Wild West" in this area. Standards that apply to normal audio equipment power ratings (FTC/EIA/CEA/JEIC/IEC) don't seem to be followed as far as I can tell...

Does that mean it can be used as a single ended DAC input then? (Mojo 2)?
Yes - but I doubt the Mojo DAC is better than the internal one of the NEO iDSD 2.
For me, it allows me to hook up all my digital sources to the DAC and then my turntable setup to the analogue input.

As I got back into Vinyl a few years back I am very interested in trying out this function as well. Hopefully, I can get my hands on one soon!
Cheers!!

I can confirm that there is no more clicking between DSD512 and DSD512×48! And also the WiFi problem was fixed in the new firmware. Thanks @iFi audio

edit. The clicking was only when line output volume control was on.I can confirm that there is no more clicking between DSD512 and DSD512×48! And also the WiFi problem was fixed in the new firmware. Thanks @iFi audio
This was due to the addition of HQPlayer's idle feature. But the main thing is that there are no more clicks..edit. The clicking was only when line output volume control was on.
I don't know what you updated to v1.18, but for me the "power" at least doubled. The speakers is Klipsch The Nines and before the speaker sound was -9dB and now -24dB and neo -80-100 and now also -70. There is no way to imagine listening to even 80% volume now. Thank you @iFi audio
My mistake. Forget this. And delete if u can.

Hi
I just joined the forum. I bought the iFI NEO iDSD 2 recently and has been using it for a couple of days.
Using my ASUS Zenfone 10 phone to bluetooth or USB from my laptop to the iDSD 2 and playing on my two tiny Acoustic Energy desktop speakers with its subwoofer. The speakers do NOT have a volume control button
One thing I noted is if I turn on 'Line out volume control' and I use the volume knob I need to turn up to 90% or more in order to get a reasonable loud but not great sound. However, if I disable it and use the music app (e.g. VLC or Windows Media Player) to control the sound level it can go very loud with a small adjustment and with it great sound. The above are tested using RCA outputs.
I then tested with 4.4mm output (with RCA connected) and it output great sound to my headphone without enabling 'Line out volume control' and I can adjust the sound level from the volume knob.
So is this 'Line out volume control' meant for the line out from the RCA/XLR outputs or meant for the 4.4/6.3mm headphone outputs? From my tests I think it don't work in both cases. In short, what's the right way to use this 'Line out volume control'?
Thanks
