I will be moving soon and for the next few months, until I get a permanent place, I will need to use headphones. I was thinking of getting a pair of Koss ESP 950's and driving them directly from my Herron VTPH-2 phono stage.
With my A90 cartridge I get around 700mV output from the Herron. The ESP 950 spec says 1 volt is needed for full output but as I don't listen at high volumes I expect that the 700mV would be enough gain-wise.
Has anyone else done a similar setup?
