I use a parametric equalizer to shave off about 5-10 db in the range of 16-20khz. I find the Etys painfully bright otherwise.

The odd thing is that I've never heard anyone complain about the Etys being bright, but that's exactly what you would expect if you looked at the Ety's frequency response:
